Quaker parrots aka monk parakeets are native to South America. Having charming and comical personalities, Quaker parrots are great talkers. They build multi-room elaborate nests made from twigs and branches in tree cavities. The mini “condos” have one room for eggs and the other for young chicks. As of 2013, Quaker parrots are illegal in California and some other states so please check ordinances for your state of residence.
